HUMAN CENTERED SOFTWARE ENGINEERING: ENHANCING DEVELOPER PRODUCTIVITY AND WELL BEING

ABSTRACT
Software engineering has undergone considerable transformations overrecent decades; however, the human aspect specifically, the developers,remains a pivotal element frequently neglected in the quest forefficiency and productivity. T his study examines the convergence ofhuman centered software engineering and its influence on developers'mental health, job satisfaction, and productivity levels. We assess the repercussions ofprevailing software engineering methodologies on developers' well being and presentinnovative AI enhanced tools to alleviate cognitive burden, optimize workflow, and enrichthe overall developer experience. Furthermore, we outline ethical principles for theincorporation of automation within the development framew ork, ensuring that human inputand oversight remain fundamental to the industry. By promoting a harmonious, humancentric approach to software engineering, our objective is to elevate both the productivity andwel fare of developers sustainably.
