EXPANDED FAMILIES OF ORTHOGONAL BINARY HADAMARD MATRICES

ABSTRACT
This paper considers new families of orthogonal binary matrices which are similar to orthogonal binary Walsh-Hadamard matrices. It is shown that beyond Walsh-Hadamard matrices, additional orthogonal binary square matrices of size N = 2n (n = 3, 4, 5, ?) exist. The total amount of these binary orthogonal matrices increases quickly with an increasing value of N. This paper presents the matrix formation rules for these families. The results of this paper apply to CDMA communication and telemetric systems.
